Sails: Mainsail, Genoa with roller reefing, cruising 'chute, storm jib, spinnaker.

Rig: Proctor aluminium mast and boom with stainless steel rigging, pulpit, guard rails and lifelines.

Engine: Vetus M4.15 24.3 kW [33hp] 4 cylinder indirectly cooled Mitsubishi marine diesel installed new in 2002. 12 volt 50 amp alternator with 2 batteries.

Hull: GRP epoxy-coated, painted royal blue topsides with pale blue decks. New lever seacocks fitted throughout. Hull number 944. The Good Yacht Guide says, "fastish cruiser".

Deck gear: Tiller steering, 35lb CQR plough anchor with 5/16 inch chain, Danforth kedge anchor, spinnaker pole, two Barlow 22 single speed sheet winches, two Barlow 15 single speed halyard winches mounted on coachroof with jammers, cockpit covers, sprayhood, mooring warps and fenders. Navigation, steaming and anchor lights. Wind generator mounted on high stainless steel arch. Boarding ladders.

Safety gear: Lifejackets for four adults and one child, 4-man life raft, 2 horseshoe lifebuoys, EPIRB distress beacon, two manual bilge pumps, one electric bilge pump, alloy radar reflector, fire extinguisher.

Navigation equipment: JRC radar, 2 Sestrel bulkhead compasses, Plastimo hand bearing compass, Stowe depth sounder, Husun 70 VHF radio, Garmin 128 gps satellite navigation, Stowe speed log, wind speed and direction indicator, Autolhelm 1000 autopilot.

 Accommodation: Saloon well-fitted out in teak and recently re-upholstered, with 2 berths in forecabin, 3 berths in saloon and 1 quarter berth. Separate heads with electric Raske & Van der Meyde RM69 sea lavatory, wash basin. Galley area with fridge freezer and stainless steel sink, four ring gas cooker with oven supplied from drained gas locker.

 BONNIE JEAN has been seriously cruised in the Irish Sea by a handy and skilful former trawlerman and is offered on the hard at Douglas Boatyard, Hesketh Bank, Lancashire GB. A 1997 survey is available.
